Please join us for a presentation on pet therapy, including what it is and isn’t, what qualities we look for in our therapy animals, and the steps to becoming a ratified pet therapy team. Our target audience are individuals interested in volunteering with their companion animal.
This is a free event – membership in the society is not required to attend. You’re welcome to bring a notepad if desired, but only you, your questions, and a passion for helping your community is needed. Prior to registering for this event, please take some time to review the information on our website, especially the list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Please note that this is a “humans only” event. We ask that you not bring pets or young children.
Due to COVID restrictions, maximum attendees will be 25 people. All must be fully vaccinated and must show proof at the door. Everyone must wear a mask while inside the building.
Each attendee should register separately to provide an accurate headcount. Questions can be emailed to info@pettherapysociety.com. If you have already completed the PeTS 101 qualification quiz online, you are not required to also attend this information session; you may advance to the second ratification step, becoming a PeTS member.
